U.S. officials are speaking out a day after President Donald Trump made the decision to end ongoing trade negotiations with Canada. White House Advisor Kevin Hassett accredited the move to a number of factors, including a “lack of flexibility” from Prime Minister Mark Carney – who he said is “difficult to negotiate with” – and “frustration [that] has built over time.”
